Mufrida is  an actor, improviser and voice artist who also works in the business world facilitating others to enhance their own impact and influence. She was born in the UK and raised on both sides of the Globe in New Zealand, Australia and a short stint in the US. She has an eclectic cultural background which enables her to be flexible and authentic in her casting.

She has worked across all mediums and with a natural feel for comedy, originally trained with Nicoletta Boris (school of LeCoq) and Philippe Gaulier. She has performed and toured with Improbable ( Nottingham Playhouse,BAC, Melkweg), Nica Burn’s Theatresports  at the Donmar Warehouse, Edinburgh Festival, and Glasgow Mayfest.

TV appearances in drama include ITV (Emmerdale), BBC (Silent Witness), Sky (Talking to the Dead) and theatre including The Night of the Iguana (Noel Coward), Patience (Finborough), Reunions (Theatre 503) and Hamlet (Manchester Library).

As a voice artist with a home studio, an RP transatlantic sound and a range of authentic accents, she has voiced TV and Radio adverts, plays for BBC Radio and has recorded and produced numerous e-learning projects. She was the voice for T-Mobile for 10 years.

As part of Women in Film and Television she loves supporting writers and working with new writing. She volunteers with the children’s charity Scene & Heard which works with the children of Somers town to empower them through working with professional actors, writers and directors to create theatre.

Mufrida is currently developing her own one woman show based on her childhood growing up in a large nomadic family who spent time living in a bus.
